BC Canada Renfest

It is Tuesday July 24th and all is abuzz.

Well folks... This is the last newsletter for the 2007 BC Renaissance Festival. As of Wednesday Night many of us will be camping near by or planning our routes from home to site for each day.
Once at the campsite we will not be reachable by email so if you need to communicate with us please send your emails before midday Wednesday July 25. Send them directly to the appropriate department or info@bcrenfest.com. This email address will no longer be picked up until after the renfest.

The cast will be in dress rehearsals on site on Thursday and vendors will be setting up.
The stages will be placed and the thrones will complete the feel.

The day is so close at hand that we can already smell the turkey legs and feel the joy of shooting archery.

On the story front.... The pirates prepare for the takeover and the Nobles travel to Steller's Grove not knowing what will be in store for them.

Shaw Cable has recently recorded a piece with the pirates. If you'd like to watch (and get a tiny pre story) then watch Shaw cable on Thursday at 6pm on Channel 4 (Or whatever Shaw is for yourself). If you miss that, watch Breakfast Television on City TV on Friday Morning. They plan on visiting us and surrounding themselves in the atmosphere and revelry.

The webpage will be active for this whole time but keep in mind that no more updates are possible. It is as up to date as it can be and any further updates will be on site.

Please note: It is asked a lot so I thought I'd say it once more - All of our characters are performers, actors and musicians who are building careers in this field. If you would like to come to the festival dressed up (or buy an outfit while you are there) we encourage you to enjoy but please do not actually join in the action unless a performer or village character directly invites you in.
Remember: Staff, villagers and ensemble will be wearing a small BCRF crest pin or Jade Dragon pin to denote their involvement. If a dressed up person is not wearing one they are not one of our characters.

Recently a newspaper article stated that we had a 'coin of the realm' and were not accepting credit cards. The event itself is a cash site (with 2 ATMs on site) but vendors accept whatever they are set up to accept. There is no 'coin of the realm'. Those who are set up for it will gladly welcome Lady Visa and Master Of The Card into their castles.
